June Photo Club Topics
We want to hear from you about which topics would be interesting to cover at upcoming meetings. We provided some example topics but feel free to add your own.
Photo Walk 11th of May 2023
When: 11.05.23 @ 17:00
Where: Bottom of the stairs to the canteen
The photography club may walk will take place on May 11th. We will meet near the bottom of the stairs up to the Canteen and then walk from there.
Hopefully, the weather will be kind to us, and we won’t need too many waterproofs. I would dress for the weather and, of course, bring a camera (even if it is a smartphone).

Best day of the week for meetings
As our community grows, we thought it would be good to gather some input on our meeting days as we know that some days are busier than others, and we would like to try to accommodate the most people possible
We are back
We finally have our website back. Unfortunately, it is a little bit out of date as we lost some data during the hack. We will just continue from this point as most of this information was news and details about a photography contest we had to cancel as we had no way to host it with all the network problems.
Anyway, we are back to our monthly meetings! The photography contest theme for the next meeting is “Window”. Try to be creative as possible, or just find a really nice window or maybe a really ugly window, something window themed as you interpret it.
The next meeting will be on the 20th of January (time and place TBC) so get your photos ready!
Photography Contest July 2022
VOTING is now open (until 31.07.2022)
Hello to all you budding and intrepid IST(A) photographers out there!
We are excited to announce our 2022 photo contest which is running throughout the month of July.
You have two weeks to get your photos to us by sending them to Mohammad (mohammad.goudarzi@ist.ac.at). Submissions will close on 15.07.2022.
Voting will then be open until the end of July for everyone to pick their favourite! There will be a prize. I’m assured it is not terrible.

Rules:
- All photos submitted must be your own work (we can spot a Peter Lik or Ansel Adams)
- You can submit a maximum of two images to mohammad.goudarzi@ist.ac.at
- Images submitted should have file sizes less than 20MB.
- Photos should not have watermarks or signatures on them.
- Please use recent photos
- When you send us your photos, tell us all about them. Please included:
- Title: Cheese in rain (Be creative)
- Category: (ISTA, Animals, People, Landscape, Macro, Abstract)
- Camera brand: Canon/Nikon/Sony/FUJI/Leica/etc (Sorry not for you Pentax)
- Aperture
- Shutter speed
- Short description of the image
- Selection will be by online voting starting on 15.07.2022.
- Voting is open to all ISTA members and you will need to log in to vote
- Voting will close on 31.07.2022
- The winner will be announced during the 1st week of August
- Prizes will be handed over during the 1st photography club meeting after the competition closes towards the end of August

As you can see we have a new website!
Hopefully, this will serve as the main place to get all the information you need for the photography club.
We also hope to be able to host competitions on the website soon so stay posted for news about our 2022 photo competition!
